Sheep’s Rub
£150.00 – £245.00
Sheep’s Rub is one of my favourite “go-to” trees for photography. I’ve captured this tree many times over the years and there’s always something interesting happening when I’m there. The tree itself is not shaped by the wind, it’s been shaped by the constant rubbing of the sheep (also a few deer and the odd cow) during the summer months when they are grazing for pasture. Like most of my images, I shot this on film but on this occasion I chose a film more suited for wedding photography to capture the subtle tones and pastel colours of the landscape at the end of the autumn. As well as being a favourite tree, it’s also one of my most popular images (I’ve been told it reminds people of an album cover).
